Processing time frames are as follows:

  • Board Games and accessories are Next Business Day.
  • 3DLevelup branded items are typically posted 1-3 Business Days.

For 3DLevelup branded items, whilst we have the items in stock, we need to often assemble, sort, quality check and pack your items which can take time. Sometimes our quality check prior to shipment will require us to re-print a small part.

If you have purchased a Pre-Order item (stated in the item name), our processing time is typically 5-10 business days as we need to print your order.

For domestic shipping Australia Post typically delivers within 5 business days. We often see deliveries in Brisbane locations take 2 business days.

For international orders it is typically 9-26 days but we have seen this extend out to 35 days to some countries.

Shipment will always have a tracking number for you to be able to check status. You will receive an email with a link to our website where you can view tracking information once your order has been placed. We recommend you also provide your mobile for SMS or an reliable email account for shipping update notifications when you place your order.

Between Two Cities is a 30-minute tile-drafting game for 1-7 players in which each tile is part of a city. You work with the player on your left to build one city center while simultaneously working with the player on your right to build a second city center. On each turn you select two tiles from your hand, reveal them, then work with your partners to place one of your selected tiles into each of your two cities.

At the end of the game, each city is scored for its architectural grandiosity. Your final score is the lower of the scores of the two cities you helped design, and the player with the highest final score wins the game. To win, you have to share your attention and your devotion equally Between Two Cities.

The Essential Edition combines components from the original game and the Capitals expansion into one cohesive whole. While it features a bigger box than the original game, different art on some tiles, and a scorepad instead of a board, there are no new gameplay elements (i.e., if you own Between Two Cities and the Capitals Expansion, you already have everything).

Board game components:

  • 1 box (296x296x70mm)
  • 2 rulebooks (multiplayer and solo)
  • 129 building tiles
  • 24 duplex tiles
  • 7 city tokens
  • 7 landscape mats
  • 1 scorepad
  • 7 district cards (44x67mm) and 3 tiles
  • 20+ Automa solo components

Personal review & recommendation

A friend of our introduced us to Between Two Cities the original version, this game plays really well with 4 players. It has a unique element where you are playing in teams with the person on the left and right of you. Whilst  you don't want your team mate to win, you are trying to build both cities the best you can to fulfil your objectives, as its your lowest scoring city that will count for final scoring. We loved in this game how there is considerable thinking but no downtime, as everyone plays at the same time. This makes a fairly fast playthrough that brings a good dynamic of working with others, and some fairly strong strategy. I'd say its difficult to master the balance of taking a tile and choosing which city it should go in for the end game result.

We loved this game so much, that when the essential edition was released we picked up a copy for ourselves. The essential edition has some nice extras, we like the landscapes which add a little more dynamic for building your city constrained to a particular shape and connection points. Its rare to come across a game that plays so well at higher player counts, and this one aces that requirement, 5 - 7 players is not a problem with Between two Cities.
